On Saturday, our dress code is bright and formal. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear morning suits with fun waistcoats and ladies are encouraged to wear colourful summer dresses. Our reception is set on grass, so for those wearing heels, block heels or wedges are recommended.
Our bridesmaids will be in satin olive green, just so you know when choosing outfits, but please don’t feel you can’t wear it too.
On Sunday, we want you to be comfortable so please think summer casual. Shirts, shorts and dresses but remember to bring your swimmers and a towel!
There will be parking available at St. Peter's Church and at Battenhurst House for those who intend to drive. If you wish to drive to the Church and reception and leave your car overnight, this is absolutely fine.
We will be offering transport from the ceremony to the reception and from the reception to the nearby villages where many of you will be staying. In your RSVP, please leave the details of whether you need transport and where you are staying so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Sadly, Uber is not available in this part of the world
There are a small handful of taxi services that are available and these will book out well in advance. Last minute taxis can be quite tricky.
At St. Peter's Church, there will be street parking available but we do encourage guests to carpool if its at all possible.
At Battenhurst House, there will be parking available and guests who wish to leave their cars overnight and make use of the organised transport can do so. Please just let us know so we can manage numbers.
Our wedding is in the countryside and this means the options can be limited and can book out early, so we encourage you to get your accommodation booked in nice and early.
There are a handful of lovely B&Bs, cottages and pubs that provide accommodation detailed on our website. Otherwise, AirBnB also has a good number of options in the area.
If you require transport home at the end of the night, buses will be organised to Wadhurst, Ticehurst, Burwash or Etchingham areas so we would encourage you to stay in one of these locations.
Popular places to stay:
1. Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club
2. The Bell in Ticehurst
3. The White Hart in Wadhurst
4. The Rose & Crown in Burwash
5. The Bear Inn in Burwash
In our RSVP form, please detail any dietary requirements you have and we will try our best to accommodate them.
Please let us know any dietary requirements as early as possible so we can make sure the catering options work for everyone.
As much as we love your little ones, we also want you to let your hair down on Saturday so would ask that kids stay at home. However, they are more than welcome to join for the recovery on Sunday.
Due to limited space in the Church, we are only able to accommodate guests named on the invitation.
